Chloe Sawatzky is originally from Clinton, Oklahoma, and attended the University of Oklahoma before moving to Texas. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University with a minor in Enterprise Studies. In the summer of 2019, Chloe moved to the Dallas area. She started her career with the City of Carrollton as the Administrative Services Coordinator and then held the role of Deputy City Secretary for two years. After becoming a Texas Registered Municipal Clerk, she was promoted to City Secretary in January 2022. Her organization involvement includes the Urban Management Assistants of North Texas, the North Texas Municipal Clerks Association, and the Texas Municipal Clerks Association through which she was honored to receive the 2022 TMCA Emerging Leader Award. Chloe is a recent graduate of Leadership Metrocrest Class XXXII. Through the City, Chloe has also participated in programs such as the Carrollton Talent eXchange Program, the STARS committee, CORE committee, and the Citizen’s Fire Academy. In her spare time, Chloe enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and taking her bernedoodle, Josey Lane, to dog parks around town.
